Step into our inflatable dome and experience a more personalized and interactive planetarium experience. Learn about the constellations visible at this time of year and how to identify them, along with other objects and phenomena. After a short intermission, we will show The Cowboy Astronomer, a skillfully woven tapestry of star tales and Native American legends, combined with constellation identification, star-hopping, and astronomy tidbits — all told from the unique viewpoint of a cowboy astronomer who has traveled the world plying his trade and learning the sky along the way. The film is narrated by Baxter Black.

You will be seated on the floor with a cushion; chair seating and other accommodations can be arranged and advance notice is appreciated 540-338-7973. Each part of the program lasts 45 minutes. We begin planetarium programs on-time and late arrivals can not be admitted as it will ruin the experience. Please plan to arrive 10 minutes before showtime; NO REFUNDS will be issued for late arrivals. This experience is not suitable for children under age 4 years.
