DESCRIPTION:A performance of solo finger style jazz guitar featuring selections of the “Great American Songbook” as well as classic Bossa Nova standards including selections by George Gershwin\, Burton Lane\, Irving Berlin\, Antonio Carlos Jobim\, Cole Porter and others.\nJustin Lees started playing professionally in the late 70’s and studied with several guitarists including Rick Whitehead\, Paul Bollenbach\, Danny Gatton\, Herb Ellis and Emily Remler. Justin’s main focus is on a straight ahead approach to jazz steeped in the fifties tradition of Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie and rooted in the styles of Charlie Christian and T Bone Walker. The feeling of Swing and the Blues is a constant. He has worked with Ron Holloway\, Dick Morgan\, Keeter Betts\, and others. Past performances include opening for Nina Simone as a member of the Ron Holloway Group at Constitution Hall.\nThe concert will be 45-60 minutes without an intermission. You are invited to view this exhibit of original artwork that explores\, depicts or celebrates the theme of Independence.  Most artwork is available for sale. \nIn addition\, we have arranged a special exhibit of pen and ink drawings from renowned artist Vinton Liddel Pickens\, on loan from the Loudoun County art collection through the Art Advisory Committee.  These 7 works depict rural scenes in Loudoun and showcase this independent artist who was one of the founders of Loudoun’s vibrant art community. \n \nGallery is open Monday – Friday from 9:00am – 5:00pm and during public performances.

His original music has been featured on NPR\, PBS\, and multiple radio stations and podcasts. He is a Virginia Commission for the Arts “Teaching Artist” with a Jazz Studies degree from James Madison University and has over a decade of professional teaching and performing experience.\nThe concert will be 45-60 minutes without an intermission. DESCRIPTION:Rock Band Loud ‘N Clear was formulated in November 2023 at Dulles South Senior Center. Today\, the band has 13 members including guitars\, bass guitar\, drums\, along with cajon drums\, trombone\, keyboard\, harmonica\, ukulele and sitar.
