SUMMARY:Call for Entry: Pursuit of Happiness
DESCRIPTION:(Ages 18+)  Artists in all mediums are invited to enter artwork that explores\, depicts or celebrates the theme of Pursuit of Happiness.  There is joy and happiness in creating your work and as inspiration for the pieces you create. Show us what this pursuit means to you and how it brings you happiness or how you see happiness in others who are pursuing their passions. A pathway through the woods\, bags packed for vacation\, fisherman on the docks\, a bee searching a flower – we are interested in the search\, the pursuit.  Online entry form is preferred; payment can be made when dropping off artwork by cash\, credit card or check (payable to County of Loudoun). Entry fees are $20 per artist\, submit up to three pieces \nArtwork Drop-Off:                          June 8 and 9        9:00am – 5:00pm \nArtwork pick-up:                             July 13                      9:00am  – 5:00pm \nClick here for online entry form

With some guidance from instructor and professional artist Carmen Barros Howell\, participants will sketch from both short and long poses. Bring your own supplies; a limited number of easels will be provided and tables/chairs will be set up for those not able to use an easel. Class is limited to 9 students. DESCRIPTION:We are celebrating Play All Day VA with this free event that is a tribute to the Sunflower masterworks. \nExhibition On Screen presents this art documentary film featuring the Sunflower paintings of Vincent Van Gogh. All is revealed in this fascinating film\, which traveled beyond Amsterdam to Tokyo\, Philadelphia\, London and Munich to film\, in incredible high-definition detail\, all five of the works on public display. Each painting is different and has its own unique story\, spanning one of the most famous and turbulent periods in art history.
