Franklin Park Arts Center offers a variety of arts education programs for all ages which provide a way for the community to get involved in the process of creating visual art, theatre and dance and much more. The Arts Center operates with the Parks Division of Loudoun County Parks, Recreation and Community Services, and are listed in the Activity Guide which is also mailed to residents of Loudoun County.

Summer Camp Resistration is Now Open!
JUNIOR THEATRE: TOURING SHOW
(Ages 6-14) Join Heather Stillings in a production of “The Big Bad Wolf's Bad Day”, which will be performed at sites around the county, including Loudoun Heritage Farm Museum and Franklin Park. Locations for touring rehearsals/ performances: Week 1- FPAC, Week 2- Loudoun Heritage Farm Museum, Week 3- TBA. Reading skills required. Bring bag lunch. Transportation waver must be signed.
JUNIOR THEATRE: GRIMMS FAIRY TALES
(Ages 6-12) Heather Stillings will take you through the exciting process of producing a show. Students will play theatre games and improvisation exercises, help write a script from one or more fairy tales, and construct theatre masks, sets and costume pieces, all leading to a fully staged production with multiple performances. Bring bag lunch.
ART CONCOCTIONS
(Ages 7-11) Combine science, art and common household ingredients and you get a recipe for fun! Treasure rocks, handmade paper, slime, and putty are just a few of the wacky and fun concoctions and crafts that we'll create during our week together! Instructor: Catherine Fetterman.
THEATERPALOOZA CAMP: GREASE
Children learn what it's like to put on a real musical theater production in this two week musical theater GREASE camp. Students build skills in acting, singing, dancing and teamwork! Campers should bring lunch and snacks, shoes for the show are to be provided by cast members

SPOTLIGHT STUDIO PRODUCTIONS THEATER CAMP: THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE
(Rising 7th to 12th grades) This will be a fully-mounted musical, cast by audition, open to area youth from rising 7th to rising 12th grades. Cast will receive instruction/coaching on vocal production, ensemble movement/choreography, acting 101, and methodology for delivering a high-caliber performance. Cast size limited to 24. Campers are encouraged to bring their talent, enthusiasm, esprit de corps!

GROWING STAGE THEATRE SUMMER WORKSHOP: LES MISERABLES
(Rising 6th to 12th grades) Growing Stage will present the best loved musical, Les Misérables. This novel was written in 1862 by French author Victor Hugo and is widely considered one of the greatest novels of the 19th century. It follows the lives and interactions of several French characters over a twenty-year period in the early 19th century. The workshop will be directed by Mallory Mousseau. Students will audition the first day of camp and begin immediately rehearsing for this musical. See www.GrowingStage.org for details. Campers are asked to:
- Wear comfortable loose clothing, suitable for dance!
- Wear appropriate shoes (no sandals or flip flops) and bring a pair of dance shoes if possible.
- Bring a lunch and plenty to drink each day.
- Bring a notebook and pencil each day for notes!
