The Franklin Park Arts Center operates within the Parks Division of Loudoun County’s Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services. The Arts Center is staffed with 6 full time positions and numerous part-time facility supervisors and instructors. Each member of the Franklin Park Arts Center staff is committed to providing the community with outstanding performing and visual arts programming and services.

Full Time Staff
Jeff Stern, Manager 
Jeffrey Stern is manager of the Franklin Park Performing & Visual Arts Center, a position he has held since March 2001. He holds responsibility for all programming, publicity, bookings, and staff supervision for the facility. Jeff has over 30 years experience in the arts having worked in theatre, television, feature film and radio. Jeff began his career at the Wayside Theatre in Middletown Virginia as a child actor and recently returned to complete a short stint as Wayside’s General Manager. Jeff received his BFA in theatrical production from Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts where he received numerous awards for his work on and off the stage.
Barbara Sample, Volunteer Coordinator 
Barbara Sample has worked at the arts center for almost 10 years as the Volunteer Coordinator. She has seen the center grow from a timberframe shell to the wonderful facility that it is today. Her degree in Studio Art and Art History from McDaniel College (formerly Western Maryland) gave her an appreciation for all the arts, but particularly the visual arts. She enjoys teaching and coordinating classes at the center, as well as organizing special events and art exhibits. She exhibits her artwork at local and regional shows and has won many awards.
Ben Shoenberger: VSA Specialist 
Benjamin Shoenberger is a graduate of Shenandoah University with a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts in theater for youth. Upon graduation, he worked for Wakefield School and created theater curriculum for elementary, junior and high school. He started working with VSA in 2004 when he directed Twelve Dancing Princesses. In 2006 he started working for the Franklin Park Performing and Visual Arts Center as a theater instructor, customer service representative, was the interim manager, and now works with VSA Arts.
Chris King: Customer Service Assistant 
Chris King is a graduate of the University of Maryland, where he majored in Theatre and Music. He has performed primarily in the Washington, D.C. area, and was on staff at the Round House Theatre in Silver Spring as an actor, instructor, and technician. For the past 25 years, he has been involved in broadcasting, as an announcer, and program director, where he cultivated a love for local and regional singer/songwriters and musicians. Chris joined the staff at Franklin Park Arts Center in December, 2008.
